Aleksey Igudesman and his long time friend and collaborator Hans Zimmer spent years – from backstage at arenas, to breaks in the studio – discussing the evolution of music and the future of the orchestra. ​From these conversations, a vision began to form - of a boundary-breaking ensemble, a collective of multi-talented artists that could combine virtuosity, theatricality, and fearless exploration across genres and cultures.

Years of searching followed, an open casting call, submissions from all over the world and finally, an exhilarating audition process.​
