01 OUR STORY

Aleksey Igudesman and his long time friend and collaborator Hans Zimmer spent years — from backstage at arenas, to breaks in the studio — discussing the evolution of music and the future of the orchestra.

From these conversations, a vision began to form - of a boundary-breaking ensemble, a collective of multi-talented artists that could combine virtuosity, theatricality, and fearless exploration across genres and cultures.

Years of searching followed, an open casting call, submissions from all over the world and finally, an exhilarating audition process.

The Limitless Orchestra had arrived.

Aleksey added composer / producer / multi-instrumentalist Dave Marks as bandleader to help craft the non-traditional band and electronic elements and together, they worked on their first arrangement, Inception Variations: From Time To Time, a rollercoaster ride through Zimmer’s legendary theme Time from the Inception soundtrack.

02 OUR DEBUT

Hans Zimmer joined TLO onstage, performing and even conducting a part of the performance in their debut at Dubai Opera in January 2025.

“The Limitless Orchestra is an ensemble that has so much fun, so much intelligence, and so much music behind them - just truly being modern and beyond anything that has ever happened before. It’s really miraculous.”

Hans Zimmer

A documentary crew followed our journey from the first auditions through to the performances in Dubai. The Limitless Orchestra – Birth of an Orchestra (co-produced by Kinescope and ORF), features appearances and interviews with acclaimed vocal soloist, Ekaterina Shelehova, as well as Igudesman and Zimmer.

The Dubai show, From Zimmer to Strauss: Global Waltzing was televised by ORF Austrian TV, distributed by Euro Arts and is currently being shown on Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, and Emirates flights worldwide.

03 NEXT STEPS

Our next production, Sound New World was conceived by Igudesman & Joo with Dave Marks assisting on arrangements. Inspired by Antonín Dvořák’s 9th Symphony, it was commissioned and premiered at the Dvořák Prague Festival at the Rudolfinum in September 2025.

The show explores Dvořák’s masterwork, reflecting the inspiration he took from American musical culture back through its own lens. As a result, the Czech composer’s melodies can be heard in African American Spirituals, Native American chants, Blues, Jazz, Hip-Hop and even a New Orleans funeral march.

It has since been performed at major European venues including Tonhalle Zürich and Konzerthaus Vienna, and was filmed by Czech Television for general release. Both filmed performances are distributed by Euroarts, and are available as audio recordings on Warner Bros

TLO continues to develop new productions in collaboration with outstanding artists across various disciplines, including The Soloist, a concerto for actor and orchestra featuring acclaimed actor John Malkovich.
